Inside the Poet’s Head

The lessons in this teachers’ resource pack are based on a collection of poems by Ruth Everson.
The material has been set out in such a way that it can be used as a complete series or as individual lessons or workshops. The worksheets gradually become more difficult, starting with easy exercises suitable for the introduction of poetry study and finishing with more challenging exercises in poetry analysis required in the senior classes.
Where some knowledge of key concepts is required, these concepts have been highlighted. Questions and suggested answers are provided for most of the poems and these can be easily adapted should you require an unseen poem for a test or an exam.
